Deep focus on the design system and the components' creation — no questions about research methods. The interviewer has limited time to answer my questions. The interviewer asked about the design process, accessibility, and design system and checked all the information that I had introduced about myself.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Accenture (Hyderabad) in May 2021
Interview
The interview was scheduled and rescheduled multiple times over the month. The JD was of UI Designer but the questions were programming related. The interviewer did not ask anything related to UI Designing and wireframing.
I applied online. I interviewed at Accenture (Monterrey, Nuevo León) in Nov 2020
Interview
I was given an assignment which I had to present. When the time to present came I was surprised to see 5 reviewers joined the meeting. None of them turned on their camera, which I thought was very unprofessional.
The challenge was to create a digital solution that help rural communities get access to healthcare. Then present at least two screens.
When I stopped presenting, all of the 5 designers criticized my job extensively, going even further to complain that I did not test the app and did not make perform enough research. They expected me to even go out of my way and interview doctors for my research. Keep in mind this work is obviously unpaid.
I think that in this type of interview, one must not devaluate or criticize, since it is a point where your work is only being analyzed. I hadn't experienced anything like this in any of my previous interviews. Any feedback provided, if any, was utterly negative, and very subjective.
It was very annoying since I put in a lot of effort and it was a good solution. I only can imagine that teamwork does not exist and recognition is unusual in the department.
After the interview, I cancelled right away the selection process.
