Question 1
for the first part, it was pretty straightforward, a code was given and instead of adding the correct thing, it added something else to answer so just needed to fix small things like that.
In the second part, I got 2 questions and the first one is finding pairs of closed parenthesis, so if ()() this was given then return 2 if there are unclosed ones return -1.
The second question is to find the largest square when a matrix of 0and 1 are given.
The interview process was straightforward and friendly. It started with a recruiter screening, followed by a technical interview. The interviewer asked basic coding questions, object-oriented programming concepts, and a few behavioral questions based on Amazon Leadership Principles. The coding problems were not very difficult, and the interviewer was willing to provide hints when needed. Overall, the experience was positive and well organized.
i applied online around october, got the OA around march/april originally for summer but headcount was reached so i expressed interest in being considered for their fall internship. they reached out in late may and got my interview scheduled in june
