I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amazon (West Columbia, SC) in Aug 2015
Interview
I went to one of the fulfillment centers in Columbia, S.C. I interviewed with (4) people. Two of the four people were cordial. The operations manager was very gruff and asked me the same question twice. Although I aced the math question, I'm pretty sure he was the one who vetoed an offer being made. It's just as well as I heard that one of the Area Managers there worked an 18 hour shift the week before; no thanks! I got the feeling at this location and Amazon in general that they love people who work in the service. There were a lot at this facility and the Ops Manager was a Marine.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked a lot of behavioral questions. One of the interviewers showed no emotion and just pounded me with question after question.
Multiple online tests after application, followed by a virtual interview with various staff. Staff did not want to be on camera and did not have many good things to say about working there.
Prior to even speaking to anyone about a possible interview there was a long and lengthy testing required. Really disappointing to finish with no feedback or additional details. I only received an email post test.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Stamford, CT)
Interview
Extremely unprofessional in my opinion. Talked to 3 different people, all of whom were wearing old sweatshirts and not looking at the camera. As I was sitting on zoom in a suit jacket, did not feel at all a place I would be valued at.
