The interview process consisted of an initial recruiter call followed by a technical phone screen and an onsite loop with three sessions. These included a mix of machine learning fundamentals, applied research problems, and behavioral interviews using the STAR method. The interviewers were well-prepared, and the questions were aligned with Amazon’s leadership principles. Overall, the experience was structured and challenging but fair.

Interview
After applying online, I received an invitation for an one hour online interview. The interview consisted of questions about my previous work, and then a series of questions on deep learning (specifically on LLMs), and finally a LeetCode style coding question (number of islands in a 2D grid).
Applied for Amazon AGI. After first round, it will go into full round of multiple interviews. Lots of modern LLM training technic questions. There are still some behavioral questions, but less than general Amazon roles.
