Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Debug a provided code snippet (iterator in for loop was being incremented incorrectly)
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon in Dec 2021
Interview
2 online assessments which are standard for Amazon positions. One is HackerRank and one is work styles/personality test.
1 final 45 minute interview with a random Amazon Engineer. Consists of some LP questions and then a technical portion.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you helped a classmate or student.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Madrid)
Interview
Started with the OA, 90 minutes for 1 easy, 1 medium.
Afterwards, culture check - online form. There were some sentences stated and you had two options, most left and most right and you were supposed to choose one. This was based on LPs.
Then an interactive "day at work" where you are played videos and you have to choose dialogue options etc. Answer emails.
Lastly 2 rounds of online interviews. First part is typical soft skills check. I used STAR to answer questions about my experiences. (resolving conflict, something I'm proud of) the second part was LC question and, clean code/refactoring question.

Question 1
Here is something not typical. I had one regular LC question (DP coin change problem)
But the second task was uncanny.
- I was asked to design a function that given a directory and a type of a file will return the list of the files matching that type. Then as the interview proceeded more constraints and functionality were added. Basically it was checking my skills on writing code with "bigger picture in mind" and refactoring the solution with changes in the requirements.
