The only minor improvement would be clearer communication regarding the timeline for the selection process. I received a response within a reasonable timeframe, but a more definitive timeline would have been helpful. Pre-Interview Preparation (5/5): Amazon provided comprehensive pre-interview materials, including details about the company's values, culture, and the role's expectations. This allowed me to prepare effectively and tailor my responses to align with Amazon's ethos. While I gained a good understanding, a bit more insight into the day-to-day responsibilities would have been beneficial. The communication was transparent and appreciated, as it kept me informed about the next steps and the timeline for a decision.

1 X HR screen 2 X hour with team members 5 X hour with various team members, bar raiser. Various other mini-calls. The Amazon interview process is something I'm torn on, (but I think 9 hours of anyone's time is excessive.) On one hand, you will know for sure if someone can follow directions and if they prepare. But on the other hand, this cumbersome and time consuming process is meant to eliminate bias which is completely impossible. The mere act of interpreting an answer and if it met the qualifications will still be biased. There are plenty of academic studies out there that show the same exact input coming from a man/woman, white/black, old/young, person is interpreted differently. Everything plays into perception. The quality of the interviewers has a huge part in how you do as a candidate. My bar raiser came on 15 minutes late and said that it was "partially" their fault when we ran out of time. Another interviewer name dropped for literally 10 minutes straight when I asked him a question about his previous experience to be polite. I couldn't believe how long he went on - it was ridiculous. I prepared thoroughly- could not have done more, and in the end didn't get an offer. OK fine I wasn't your pick. And I understand why they don't provide feedback- so they don't get sued. But that is a lot of time and energy to not know why you didn't get the offer and have no feedback to improve upon. Eventually some Gen Z will find a way to make them pay for your time. lol
