It’s very tough as you move up and spend more time you would feel that it’s all subjective and has nothing to do with actual job description. Interview process is long and puts you down as a candidate to go and revise all the book knowledge which might not be applicable in real life
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Chapel Hill, NC) in Mar 2022
Interview
Given take home code test. Had to do two algorithms. Then did virtual interview which lasts 5 hours. Lots of behavioral leadership questions (very similar to ones you find if you google amazon leadership questions). 3 code tests as well and one system design question. System design was probably most negative experience I have had thus far interviewing in my years experience. Interviewer was very critical and overall unpleasant experience. Didn’t feel like a normal back and forth discussion. Recruiter that reached out was nice and pleasant though.
