Very long, had 2 phone interviews and 7 face to face interviews and 1 presentation. They were ok to fly you to the interview places while you were at a different city.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon (San José, San José) in Apr 2018
Interview
It's very step by step, so you must be very patient. First there's a mail confirmation for a phone interview. If you pass this you move to the Design Assessment , which it's an average difficulty design task. Once you pass this there's a confirmation via phone and mail for the loop interview. This is a 4 hours interview with 4 different people, they're very nice and offer you drinks and snacks over the process. The interviews are very pragmatic and focus on situational questions regarding the Leadership principles of Amazon, you must answer in the STAR format (Situation-Task-Action-Results), 5 days later I received a phone call with the Offer Step.

Question 1
Describe a situation where you had a difficult situation at work. What did you do, how did you solved it?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
Went through 2 phone screenings, both structured similarly. You spend around 10-12 minutes on 3 behavioral questions and then they leave some time for you to ask questions at the end. The questions are all based around their leadership principles. The first round seemed to focus on my process and work ethic, the second was more focused on challenges and weaknesses. Overall both interviewers were kind, on time and seemed very engaged and attentive. I was a little disappointed by the recruiting side of things. Poor communication, little desire to help you prepare for the interview, changing recruiters midway without notification, and slow follow up. After the second interview I was told they would get back to me within 5 business days or less. I didn't hear back at all from the team or either recruiters. I ended up checking my account later to see I wasn't selected. The interview itself was positive, but was surprised at the lack of professionalism and structure in their recruiting process.
