I applied the graduate program last year, but never heard anything. Then suddenly out of blue, HR called me for an interview, then I went to the office for formal interviews. Had two rounds, and got the offer. The managers who interviewed me were very professional and nice, and they were clear about what the role involve and what they want from me.

The manager had the list of standard interview questions for graduate positions, such as describe how you overcome failures, how to prioritize your activities, teamwork etc. Nothing was unexpected.

Interview
Was a very casual process with two technical directors. We discussed my interest in the field, precious experiences and general questions to get to know me.
I outlined my enthusiasm for building services, tied it into my relevant experiences at previous internships. Discussed my reasons for wanting to work at Aurecon, mainly the multidisciplinary aspect as well as its international presence
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Aurecon (Bloemfontein) in Jul 2011
Interview
Job was referred to me by an employee and I contacted the office manager about the relevant job offer. I was asked to apply for the job on the company website and provide relevant supporting documentation. From date of submittal of job application, the company responded very quickly to arrange for an interview. An interview was arranged and the interview was held in the company's boardroom, with 3 company personnel present (Office Manger, Technical Director - Electrical, HR Manager). Interview was very informal and more about personal attributes and achievements.
