I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at BDO (Kuala Lumpur) in Apr 2011
Interview
I was shortlisted even before graduating. Interview was relaxed and conducted in a group. Questions were no technical as we were not graduates at the time the interview was conducted. Interviewers were the audit partners, who were pretty friendly. The interviewer spent less than 15 minutes on each interviewee. It was more of a discussion/ sharing meeting rather than a formal interview. Almost all of us got the offer by BDO.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you see yourself in 5-10 years' time, as well as why should i be hired.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at BDO (Singapur) in Sep 2013
Interview
Hiring process was quick. Just a few basic questions to know more about you and your career goals. The interviewer will then let you know more about the Company, how the department works and what is the career progression. The interview was quick and easy since it was an entry level position. Basically, I don't think they require you to be very knowledgeable. Just show interest and with the basic paper qualifications, you should be able to pass the interview.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at BDO (Lubbock, TX) in Mar 2015
Interview
I went through the interview process as a part of my university Meet-the-Firms and was interviewing with the Fort Worth office. I really liked everybody I talked to but the lady that interviewed me was extremely standoff-ish and kinda rude. She had her laptop open and kept checking it throughout the interview. She asked me almost all behavioral questions and couldn't ever really give me a simple answer to my questions about life at BDO. Every answer included what seemed like a disclaimer.
I had done a mock interview with the head recruiter for this office and it went extremely well. My actual interview was like it was with a completely different company. Friends that I spoke with that had the other recruiter said that their interview was just like the mock interview - very conversational. I talked to other people that had the lady I had, and the general consensus was that their interview was awful.
I had originally really liked BDO. However, after my interview, I had decided not to accept even if I got an offer because I wouldn't want to work full-time in a small audit engagement with my interviewer.
