As BDO being in the Top 5 Accountancy firm they have very pathetic interview process. Ok ill explain my situation. I have applied for the BDO Digital Cyber security Analyst position in January 2024. I got invitation for the initial screening from the talent acquisition team on February 2024. Then scheduled me for next round interview with the team lead on March 2024. This is one of the worst interview that i had. Literally the interviewer was travelling (He is on train) and took the interview. Then scheduled for the another round in April 2024 with a panel members of 7 from UK, US & Canada. They asked mostly competency and situation based question. It went well. In mid of April i get an email for the final round in person interview in london office. I have also booked my interview slot. Later that day i get email that they need further time to decide the slots. After couple of days i get a call from Talent acquisition team who took my initial interview, saying that my application cannot be processed ahead, then i asked the reason to it, he then gives me a lame answer that i am over qualified for the role and they want to keep my application if there are any further opening positions in the future which matches my profile. I was like are you people for real??wasting 3 months to hear this out. I suggest BDO hiring team not to take people for granted. You people might be busy with your own work but please don't was the time of interviewee with your lack of professional ethics, be responsive to some one who is investing time and working hard to crack the interviews just to work for your organisation. One last suggestion is that don't take months to interview a candidate.
