      Vendor Administrator Interview

      Mar 21, 2011
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Simi Valley, CA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Bank of America (Simi Valley, CA) in Mar 2011

      Interview

A recruiter called me and left a message on my v/m. I returned the call within 30 minutes but got his v/m. It took us 2 days to connect as he just wasn't available. When we finally did connect he went over my resume briefly and then scheduled a 1:1 interview for me to meet with the department supervisor. The interview went very well and I was clearly qualified for the position. I was told at the end of the interview by the interviewer that she would recommend I be hired for the position. Four days went by and not hearing anything I sent a quick e-mail to the recruiter thanking BofA for the interview and saying I had not heard from anyone. He told me he would look into it and get back to me. I received another e-mail saying that a different recruiter would be contacting me. The following day I received another e-mail saying I was no longer being considered for the position. **EDIT: I received a call from the original recruiter informing me that the reason I was no longer being considered for this position is because they thought I was overqualified and wanted to know if I wanted to be considered for management positions? I wanted to pass this info along as after I received the e-mail regarding "no longer being considered" I stopped applying to B of A. Also, I was told by a different recruiter that if you apply for the same position twice during that hiring period it may automatically disqualify you for that position. (This may have been a ploy to keep me from working with a different recruiter, though.)
