I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Bank of America (Greensboro, NC) in Dec 2024
Interview
Verrrry slow. Had a recruiter call me to say they'd set something up in 2 weeks, didn't hear back for months. She called again to day she'd set something up in 2 weeks, didnt hear back for another month. First interview, again should hear back next week, didn't hear back for 3 weeks. Final interview again said I'd hear back in two weeks. Never reached out again. No one answered their emails. No picked up their phone. Even the physical bank location would not pick up the phone. I went into the bank to ask someone for anything but they kept directing me to email my recruiter when I never had her email. Deeply unprofessional. All the interviewers did with the time is whine and moan about how understaffed the place is and how everyone calls out these days. I've taken zero sick days. I just dont care to say that in interviews bc you never know when you'll need to take a sick day.
Honestly both interviews I felt that I was there more as a curiosity than a serious candidate. The final interviewer launched into a tirade about how she expects people to work extra hours after close and before open and saturdays (oh yeah, this is another job listed as M-F but its not actually and they're very cagey about how many Saturdays you'll be working) I never indicated that I had an issue with that.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I work at a state controlled liquor store and first interviewers question was really aggressive: how many bourbon bottles do I stash under the counter for specific customers
Initially phone interview, then at the branch. It was pretty straightforward. The bank manager asked me a couple of questions, one of them being why I am applying for that position. Then she asked me to do a role play about a credit card.

Question 1
Why do you want to leaver your current job and work at Bank of America?
I did the hi revue video interview and proceeded to having a physical interview with the the branch manager. I was told that the recruiter would get back to me but nothing till now, it's been 5 months now. I called and dropped voice messages no response. I feel a response whether good or bad should be given to candidates. I did not expect this from Bank of America.
The in-person interview started 17 mins late and then ended early, seemed like they didn't want to hire me already. Don't waste time if you don't want to hire someone.
