I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BlackRock (Zúrich) in May 2015
Interview
- The interviewers really went into detail, while reviewing my application documents and asked questions about things, I didn't expect to be relevant.
- I had two interviews of 45 min with two interviewers each (nobody from HR).
- The interview was principally in German but they nevertheless tested my English with small questions at the end.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at BlackRock (New York, NY) in Jun 2026
Interview
The Hirevue questions were all behavioral, no tell me about yourself or why blackrock. Questions were pretty simple. Prepare a financial news story you are following because they will ask you that.
Hireview is preparation and then one time recording, which is from memory 3 minutes long. There was only 3 questions for me and most of it related to the role instead of purely just asking why blackrock or why this role.
