Typically asks questions about experience with proprietary technologies you could not possible have any interaction with unless you are an internal transfer. Its best to do your homework to know which technologies are commercial products versus internally developed products.

Interview
I met with several groups as part of an all day interview. I met with group leaders and then members of the team in mostly 1:1 settings. There were extensive questions about past experience and how I approached problems. The interview day included a facility tour and was followed by dinner with the hiring manager. This was an overall positive experience.

Interview
The interview process was very structured and round robin style and was based on relevant work experience, values, and core competencies. A representative from HR was in the interview. Allowed to take notes but must hand them in after the interview.
