I recently had the opportunity to interview with Boeing, and I felt compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, I found several aspects of the process to be quite disappointing.
Firstly, during the interview, I was the only participant who had my camera on. All three interviewers, including the hiring manager, kept their cameras off. This not only made the interaction feel impersonal but also created an uncomfortable dynamic, as it felt like I was presenting to a blank screen rather than engaging in a meaningful dialogue.
Additionally, I encountered issues with the hiring manager's audio quality. Her English was often difficult to understand, which hindered effective communication. This made it challenging for me to respond appropriately and showcase my qualifications.
Overall, I believe that a professional interview should foster open communication and engagement. The lack of visual interaction and clear communication from the interviewers created an unprofessional atmosphere that left me feeling undervalued as a candidate.
I hope Boeing considers these aspects to improve the interview experience for future candidates.
They tended to use, as they prepared me for, STAR format for all questions and they both read and typed the questions for you to read or hear. This was very inclusive and appreciated
