Hiring process was standard. Recruiter calls to set up a phone interview with HR and then a face to face panel interview, although I had one on one interview with the interviewers. Amongst them I had a bad experience with one of the managers as he had already decided not to hire me, so he told me all hard things that I will have to face while in the job like no work from home, long hours, frustrations. In the end he hinted that the job is not my cup of tea. I wanted to walk out after that, however the senior director came in just in time and I had the last interview session with me. I was honest to the senior director about the last session and he assured me that the person is probably just trying to check your patience. Anyways I was annoyed and I left with a bitter taste. Later I called my recruiter and told her about my experience and expressed my unpleasantness towards the process. A week later I was told I was selected and they extended the offer, they even negotiated salary and vacation paid time off and increased both as well. I however thought a lot about it, as the person with whom I had negative experience would have been my immediate supervisor, I declined the offer.
