I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Capgemini (Nueva Delhi) in Feb 2015
Interview
2 round of technical and 1 managerial
then 1 Client interview. After that I have been taken a follow up to release my offer letter. first round would be telephonic then face to face technical.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Capgemini (Bengaluru) in Sep 2018
Interview
Process: 3 rounds.
1st:Normal online test
Normal java, spring, web technologies objective questions and answer
2nd round: Technical F2F
It was kind of easy but progressive. The guy who took my interview had worked in some good product organization earlier (I have history of the same. This was my 1st service based firm to be opted for). He was really happy with my profile in spite of having "not so good" academics, he was impressed with my work with very less experience. We had a quite innovative +aspectful technical discussion ( rather than a formal technical interview). While leaving at the evening he greeted me and had a small bite of words as well.
3rd round: I would say "not so good" if not "pathetic". One question was so funny that I laughed . That was "would you please join on less CTC than your current?". Like how can someone ask this? I really respect the firm but they should understand that if a guy having less than 4 years of experience having more than so called "market standard", that means he would be serving something which is more than the usual. Because somebody is paying him "more" for his MORE effort. And when I completely denied even on 15% hike on my current CTC, She started demeaning my profile by saying "you have this much gap in your education, you did not get good marks in your 12th, within 1 year, this would be your end switch and blah blah..." To that my answer was "I am in discussion with other firms too and I have a robust reason to switch. But I cannot compromise on some norms. So, if my profile is not so impressive, I would love to get dejected from further process".
I think she was not able to understand what I was coming with my profile (or she did not want to).
I guess I did a mistake (I think the hr's response will decide after one week. But till then I would be a mistake) by attending the process for capgemini. I guess they don't need quality, but just quantity.
Now, I got 1 week time for me to "compromise" or for them to "compromise.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Your current CTC itself is too high which doesn't come under our sack. Could you please join below this?
I applied online. I interviewed at Capgemini (Almeirim) in Sep 2017
Interview
Process is not very well planned. No structure is followed. many of the time is panel too is confused. they call in bunch and are not organised . Capgemini being such a big organization should have proper planned process of conducting the interview
