I applied online. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA)
Interview
I am currently in the early stages of the interview process for the Sr Business Analyst role. I completed the initial recruiter screen, and I am now waiting to be scheduled for the mini case interview and potentially Power Day. So far the communication has been clear and organized, and the recruiter explained what the upcoming steps will look like.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me to walk through my background and explain what interested me in the Sr Business Analyst position and the firm.
I explained my experience working with data, analytics, and product focused problem solving, and how that aligns well with Capital One’s approach to analytical decision making.
1. Recruiter Screening - 30 mins
2. Mini-case - 1 hr
3. Powerday (2 Business Case interviews, 1 Product interview) - 4 hrs
Fairly simple process, not too many rounds. No behavioral questions for me, except for a brief introduction at the beginning of each interview. Gave a great power day in my opinion, completed all rounds with correct solutions and yet didn't get recommended for hire. Not sure where I lost..

Business case questions based on basic P&L and break-even
Interviewer was not interested in the interview. It was tough to make small talk, and he didn't want to ask or answer any questions. The case was awakward too cause even though i did evrything he seemed to be busy on another screen
