Interview
I recently went through the interview process for the Software Engineering Internship at Capital One for Summer 2025. The process was smooth: I applied in mid-January, and the recruiter reached out after about eight days. My interview was scheduled three weeks later, including a case interview, a technical interview, and a behavioral interview. I received my offer about a week after the interviews.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
In my case interview, I was given a business-related scenario where I had to discuss the benefits and challenges for both customers and Capital One. There were also rules on validating card numbers and a debugging task, with a bonus question that served as a tiebreaker. The technical interview combined OOP concepts with LeetCode-style questions, focusing more on list manipulation and data structures. Finally, the behavioral interview emphasized speaking about my individual contributions rather than the team's work.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Capital One (Bengaluru) in Feb 2025
Interview
1. Written case study test(focus on coding(pseudo code, application based) and system design)
2. Technical interview (Projects, previous experience and some DSA questions)
3. Behavioral interview(basic behavioural questions like tell us about one of your tough situations and how you overcame from it, etc)
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (New York, NY) in Feb 2025
Interview
codesignal gca -> power day. power day was 3 rounds, first was case which was working through a business problem and if else conditionals. second was coding which was a hashmap med in which you had to parse the input from a list and fliter based off some requirements. there were 4 parts to the coding. Last was behavioral and that was 3 standard questions (ie. a time you worked in a team, resolving conflict, etc. ) with a few follow ups to each. Overall not as bad as it sounds, just gotta communicate with your interviewer at each point.
