I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Citi (Pune) in Jan 2023
Interview
The interview process was consisting of 3 rounds, 1st was a technical round which continued for 1hr and 30 mins, second was a managerial round which mostly non technical questions and few scenario based questions on coding part. And the third was BU head where we discussed on the project, what kind of work I will be getting and salary discussion. After that I got the call from HR, her name is Sneha Sahay and she directly started scolding me for asking my expected salary, she said “ye kya attitude hai, aap panel ko itna jyada salary kaise maang sakte ho. Aapna attitude apne pass rakh. Phone rakh tu “ then the disconnected the call. I was so disheartened and demotivated. A tier 1 investment bank would treat it candidate in such a way and using such rude words. If they treat their candidate in such a way then I could imagine how they must be treating their employees. If my expectations doesn’t match ur budget, If u can’t afford me then it fine. You can reject me , but calling someone and scolding them, making them feel bad is not at all professional and because of such kind of HR employees are frustrated with the companies.
