I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Cognizant (Coimbatore) in Dec 2009
Interview
Campus interview at my college. They were the first to peek into my college and grasp the cream of the students only to spoil their future. The interview was for name sake, not much challenging as if they wanted to pick some number. Because they knew they are never going to let a student work in a area he is interested, instead they teach him some remote technology and he has to oblige to that. Badddd!!
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Cognizant (Hyderabad) in Dec 2011
Interview
An aptitude test which tested our mathematical, puzzle solving and IQ skills was conducted followed by which the students who got through the aptitude test round were interviewed.
The interview included a few technical questions, questions on software basics, questions related to the student's respective branch and a few general questions.
Overall, the hiring and the interview process was really good and challenging.

I was hired from campus selection process. The first round was an analytical test which lasted about an hour. It was a paper based test which asked question on problem solving, tested IQ and EQ. Only 25% of all the round 1 candidates were selected for the next round.
The people selected from the process headed on the interview round. The questions and format varied for each candidate. For me, most of the interview was conversational but was asked specific technical questions which required me to display my understanding of SDLC, modeling and databases.
