Collage does not have a clearly defined strategy or direction regarding the future of the company or how they specifically intended to compete in the busy market. I ask the same strategy question in every interview I didn't get any consistency across the answers. Leadership (EXECUTIVES) were described as overly hands-on, at times limiting the progress of teams and the product.
I had positive experiences with each interviewer. Conversations were pleasant, easy-going and conversational based. I felt like I could easily work along side with them.
In one of the interviews, I spoke verbally about the problem space that was presented in the take-home assignment. However, upon completion of the assignment, it was game over with little context as to why they will not pursue my candidacy.
Collage offered to provide feedback when taking them up on the offer. They don't respond failing to follow through. I'm left feeling like I was used for free labor and intellectual thought after submitting a viable completed assignment.
I'm glad it didn't continue further. If a company is going to treat candidates like this I can only imagine how they treat actual employees.
