Pretty much the same as described here. I was contacted and they set me up on a phone call with one of their engineers. He briefly explained the company, gave me a chance to ask questions and then launched into an uncomfortably silent live coding challenge.
The challenge was basically handling a race condition in some of the ugliest front end code I've ever seen (syntax was formatted ala Java code, not like any JavaScript I've ever seen,) and everything was built in jQuery. I found it completely offputting and lost interest in the role once I heard that they are 1.) Running on a PHP stack and 2.) Realized that this challenge probably reflects a lot of the cruft in their application. I've been through a fair number of software interviews over the past few years, and this was by far the worst/most uncomfortable one I have ever experienced. The engineer on the phone was not personable at all and the entire process felt clinical and didn't appear to measure anything I would consider particularly meaningful. I'd recommend steering clear of this company and finding somewhere more respectful to ply your talent.
I was ultimately told I was not chosen for the role with no real reason why (pretty typical.) The entire interaction felt very clinical, like seeing a doctor for an uncomfortable procedure and the doctor has no bedside manner.
