The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Control Risks (New York, NY) in Dec 2018
Interview
I interviewed for an Analyst position at Control Risks. The process lasted two months. The person who would've been my boss contacted me and he sent me the application. The process included 2 interviews with HR, one interview with him, an interview with his boss, two tests, a writing sample AND a three person panel interview. For this last section, I had to do research and prepare a presentation. I finally got and offer and it was terrible. Way below what I expected for the job description and my experience. Besides, on one of the HR calls/interviews, the HR rep told me the company offered more compensations than it actually did. The worst part is that I would've had to relocate for the position, and the company didn't cover a relocation fee other than the plane ticket.
Applied for an analyst position located in Houston, TX online. Was contacted by one of Control Risks recruiters located in Mexico City several days later asking to set up an interview the following week. The recruiter provided the WRONG address for the interview, luckily I double checked online beforehand and noticed the mistake.
The interview itself was quite forward: talk about your skills/experience, hiring manager then talks about the position, then wrapping up with questions. This has been the ONLY interview I have ever been to where the hiring manager spent a good portion of the interview explaining how BAD the position is. They described a repetitive job with high stress, a failure rate of about 60% and basically that this particular position did not really have a career path within the company.
So, in all reality who would want to accept a job like that? Furthermore, nobody followed up with me after the interview, not even with a polite rejection email. Talk about a lack of professionalism.

Interview
In sum, if you're not white, male and British, good luck. Taking a look at their employees on Linkedin explains a lot about this company and I wish I hadn't wasted my time. I applied online and received an email requesting an interview after one week. Had an interview a week after that with an analyst from the team and a rep from HR. For the second stage, I had to write an analytical report on a subject related to the position in a 2 hour period. Sent it back and received a confirmation email saying I would hear back after one week. Then silence after that. I followed up two weeks later with an email. No response. Then after another week, I tried calling the HR person I was in contact with, but again no response. The third and last email I sent before I gave up and accepted another job offer was to the analyst from the interview. No response from them either. Finally, after one month, I receive a standard "thanks but we decided to go in another direction" email.
