Interview
You need to go to the career fair to get their attention. The face-to-face interview will be key. Convey o them that you fit in, that you are interested in the industry, research industry well. Focus on entrepreneurialism, being adaptable in a fast-paced environment, efficiency and cost-cutting, and being results oriented. Complete all the assessments,as long as you can think clearly and write cogently, you will be ok.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at DISH (Boulder, CO) in Feb 2010
Interview
The panel consisted of who i think were three sales girls who had a sheet of paper and were asking robotic questions to me and just jotting it down. I was interviewing for a Technical intern position and all they were doing is taking down my answers. The questions were all behavioral like "tell me an instance where you failed not once but twice before getting the correct answer" "where you acquired a skill and used it recently"

Interview
Met at a university job fair where I was offered an interview the following day. Interview was behavioral mostly based off my resume. After passing the interview stage, I had to do a quantitative and qualitative online assessment and submit a writing sample. After this stage, I had phone interviews with both the HR department and a representative from my department.
