Initial 10 minute phone interview for the recruiter to give brief details about the role and ask a few interest questions. Immediately, setup interview on-site with hiring manager for the following day. The morning of receive an email with interview instructions and an overview of the interview process including informative information about the company including videos from current employees who communicate why they like working at Dish. An hour later, a text message from another recruiter wishing good luck on-site. While on-site being welcomed by a smiling customer facing employee who also wishes you good luck. The interviewer presented themself a couple minutes after the scheduled interview time, had a firm handshake and confidently introduced themself while smiling and led me to a nearby room. The interviewer was transparent and didn’t sugar-coat the role. However, made sure it was clear that mindset is what determines success. The interviewer was focused on what I shared and was analytical. I was asked a couple questions about work history in order to determine if skills matched job role including finding out what was my motivation for the role. As an interviewee, you must also be transparent, honest and show why your values match the company’s values.
