Got this interview-offer after I applied online. The HR called to check for suitable time-slots for the interview. A 1:1 interview was scheduled. (Senior engineer from the Products Solutions team) It was a technical interview.
I was questioned about the information on prior project experience (nothing specific, had to explain one of my choice). He proceeded to test my understanding of pointers in C, regular expressions for data-processing with Perl and asked for my level of experience with C++.
Lastly, he explained about what responsibilities a recent-college-grad would have. A typical learning curve where one's breadth of knowledge would come in mare handy than specialization in a specific area.
Work culture (specific to this team) sounded like a young team of problem-solvers. The interviewer was very patient in listening to responses and seemed to love his job! I think the right preparation would be to have excellent coding skills (C/C++), good algorithms base and knowledgeable description of projects.
