The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Deloitte (Londres, Inglaterra)
Interview
Part of graduate trainee recruitment: 3 rounds, first online numerical & verbal tests and E-tray test (reacting/selecting an appropriate reply or action to emails in your inbox). Then invited to first-round interview with an assistant manager in audit team. Final interview includes presentation on a topic (mine was on financial crisis) and a competency-based interview
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Deloitte (New York, NY) in Jun 2011
Interview
I had a phone interview for the NYC office. I didn't receive an invite for the next round of interviews because the recruiter and I were not on the same page unfortunately. My resume was given to the company through one of their employees and they did not mention the location I would be looking for. However, performing the phone interview was still good practice for the future.
The recruiter asked very basic information such as which field I would prefer (audit or tax) and how I knew what field I wanted to go into (I already knew I wanted to do auditing).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The phone interview questions are not difficult. They are pretty basic. Unfortunately, I was not looking to work in NY.
The interviewer in Deloitte is very friendly. Maybe it is the pleasant mood that was created which gives me more courage to speak more.
The interview start with the assessments. For me, I got Essay Writing, English Test, Intelligence Test.
After that the interview starts. Only general questions were ask such as, introduce yourself, why Deloitte, why audit etc. With sufficient preparations you can answer such question with confidence.
However, a point to note that the interviewer are from the HR department, or I should say the person I get. To me, she seems to have brief knowledge on accountancy, that is why I only get general questions I guess.
