Dear Recruitment Team,
I would like to share my feedback regarding my recent interview experience for the Backend/Java role at Deloitte.
The first round of the interview was a very positive experience. The interviewer conducted the discussion in a highly professional manner and asked relevant technical questions related to Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, and MySQL. The conversation was structured, clear, and technically engaging. I truly appreciated the interviewer’s knowledge and the way the discussion was handled.
However, my experience in the second round was quite different. During the discussion, a significant portion of the conversation focused on my career transitions across three companies in the past seven years. I explained that these changes were primarily due to project completions and funding-related challenges in previous organizations.
Despite providing this context, the discussion seemed to move toward comparing Deloitte’s long-term project stability with my past experiences. I believe that project durations and organizational structures vary across companies, and it may not always be a direct comparison.
At the beginning of the round, it was mentioned that I might not be a strong match for the role, and the subsequent questions were sometimes unclear. As a result, I felt the discussion became more focused on validating that conclusion rather than exploring my technical experience and capabilities. This made it somewhat difficult to effectively communicate my experience and skills.
I greatly respect Deloitte as an organization and appreciate the opportunity to interview. My intention in sharing this feedback is only to provide constructive input that may help improve the candidate experience in future interview processes.
