Question 1
I did not receive any difficult questions. The interviewers primarily stuck to "Why DB" and "Walk me through your resume". There were some technical follow up questions relating to past positions I held but that was all.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Deutsche Bank (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2010
Interview
Generally inline with most of the investment banking recruiting process - company will have a campus visit where you are able to connect with associates/VPs/MDs. 1st round interviews occur late fall and mine was one 45min session with an associate and a director together. Questions were general, behavioral and finance related: why are switching careers? why banking? why DB? who else are you interviewing with? What are your three biggest strengths and weaknesses. etc. Technical questions focused on valuing a technology startup (was interviewing for the DB SF office) - you should walk them through your thought process and consider the most appropriate valuation metric.
