I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Discover (Normal, IL) in Oct 2020
Interview
2 rounds, one preliminary and one that was more focused.
No software dev related coding problems, just behavioral. They asked questions where the proper answer would be following the STAR method.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What was a time where you messed up performing a job related task, and how did you deal with the problem?
The interview questions were not related to the job description. The job description asked for experience in ETL but the questions were for DBA role. The first round was easy but second round was unexpected
Phone interview, in person, typical stuff. They didn't really care if I was qualified, just wanted to get a competent body in the door. Trying to hit the 30-word minimum ugh.
