I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Discover (West Valley City, UT) in Feb 2016
Interview
Easy Interview. Basic questions. Listened to a pre-recorded call and had to describe the work ethic of the employee. background check, drug test, blah blah blah. was offered the job & later recieved an email that they didnt want to give me the job anymore, except it stated a job i didnt even apply for. and all of a sudden they dont answer their phones. very unprofessional.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Discover (Phoenix, AZ) in Oct 2015
Interview
Hiring process didn't take long. Interviews at first where great. The background check process took forever and then they didn't even tell me they changed their mind. I was disappointed with the lack of communication. Two weeks after my start date i ended up emailing my point of contact thanking her for wasting my time and that I went with another company. Discover didn't even give me the opportunity. They requested documented for something that was never on my record and used that as a determining factor. Any company that does this in the start is not worth working for. Especially when they requested documents for a traffic related ticket.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Discover (New Castle, DE) in Dec 2015
Interview
First interview 10 minutes on the phone.
Second interview was very similar to the first except your given these flash cards that are used to describe which are most like you to least like you.
The interview was about 30 mins but I felt as tho the person interviewing me was rushing and was trying to hurry up and get out of there (My appointment was 5:30 in the evening). You also are required to take an IQ test which is timed and also a personality test.
