I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at EY (Bengaluru) in Jun 2017
Interview
I applied through an employee referral at the Bangalore RMZ Ecospace office and had a pretty poor experience during my interview process. There were basically three rounds -
First one was the aptitude test which had questions related to calculations, reasoning, MS Excel and English language. Though my test went pretty well but I was told I didn't make it through. Being the last candidate for the day, I was lucky that I got to see the answer key(solutions) for the test and it was found out that the answer key was wrong and I was told I will get to appear for the personal interview rounds after three days.
Second round was the HR interview round which went on pretty smoothly and took hardly half an hour and I was asked to come back after a couple of hours for the last round.
Last round was again a HR interview but with the team lead and it went on for almost an hour. It was pretty much like the previous round but comparatively it was more formally conducted. After this I was told I'd be informed about the result over the phone, mostly by the next day.
I waited for a couple of weeks and contacted their HR person several times after that who kept stalling me and eventually told me I didn't make it through because company is not ready for the compensation which I had demanded, whereas I had agreed to work at the offered compensation when asked by the interviewer in the final round.
On the whole, I'd say when a firm like EY which has such a global impact, fails to show even average levels of professionalism, it questions the integrity of the firm and what it stands for.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at EY (Atlanta, GA) in Jul 2016
Interview
I had forwarded my resume to the HR in Jan 2015 for the ASA position. In February I got a call from the manager directly to discuss my experience and the role. At the end of the call she said she has no open position at the moment but will get back to me incase of any open position. In June first week she mailed me if I m still seeking a job. I replied back to her in positive. After that I dint get any response from her for one month. Then she again mailed me in July first week that she has an open position and I can interview for that. The HR round took 12 days to happen. After one week of HR round I got a call for the next round with the manager. She took a 30 mins interview asking about my experience n telling job description etc. after that for exact one month I dint get any response from EY. And after a month I got a mail saying we have selected some other candidate. The experience with EY has been really disappointing. For an answer in yes or no they make you wait for months that you even forget what exactly happened during interview. Also the position was removed from their site much before they told me the result. No respect for a candidate's time and his job needs.
