EY Risk Analyst interview questions

30 min phone interview for a Hong Kong-based position. Asked to answer the questions in Mandarin, English and Cantonese. The partner was quite nice and willing to answer my questions.

I got a call from their HR Representative about scheduling the Tech-1 Round and it was scheduled in 2-3 days time. The interviewer was good and asked basics Java questions around Oops, JVM, String API, Java 8 and 9 features and few easy codes using Collections. I got a call the same day that i cleared that round and Tech-2 was scheduled. The interviewer asked me only 1 tech question and that too she was not able to exactly explain the requirement for like 10-15 mins as there were lots of background noises and kid crying in the background. I told her about this but she doesn’t seem to care much. Since I didn’t understood the question properly i did some things which I understood but since already 15-20 mins were wasted I thought of saying no to this and proceed with other questions but to my surprise she didn’t ask any other and asked me if i am already serving my notice to which i relied yes and then she was like okay will get back to you. They never called back and i mailed them after two weeks for feedback and got the reply as not shortlisted. I am not sure what exactly was the reason for not getting selected but I believe since i am from Java Background they might have thought that i will not join even if they offer me as already have other offer. Overall 6/10 experience but second round interviewer could have been better.
