Someone I knew in HR told me about the job. She passed on my resume to the recruiter and I was immediately contacted. We had a phone interview, where she told me about the job and the company.
We set up an in-person interview. I thought it went okay. I spoke with two managers for about 40 minutes. They asked some tough questions, but I felt like I held my own. It seemed like a lower level position so I'm not sure why they were so serious, or what they were really looking for. After the interview - the one manager told me that there was only one spot open and that they were going to try to wrap up the process quickly. Said I should hear back within 1-2 weeks. After a 1.5 weeks - I emailed the recruiter and the managers expressing that I was still really interested and appreciated their consideration. The recruiter emailed back saying she did not have any feedback for me and that they were interviewing internally as well. She said she would let me know as soon as she got any feedback. That was 5 weeks ago...guess I didn't get the job.
My brother-in-law also had an interview around the same time. He applied for a Title Clerk position. He had 2 years experience, but did not get the job either. Only difference was that they actually got back to him...
