I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ellucian (Bengaluru) in May 2012
Interview
The first round was a phone round by the HR and was asked all basic questions about my profile and then telephonic technical round with 2 people again basic question about my projects and companies worked after this I was called for face to face interview in their office it was with different people and again very technical after that one manager type of person met the same day after 3-4 days a video conference was scheduled with the US people and after 2-3days I was called to meet the HR for final interview in the office.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Very technical and had a lot of questions on design patterns and loops. The technical panel asked me to write a piece of code and explain the syntax. After I joined if I think of the technical interview some questions they asked on design and code review was not required based on the job I do. US video conference round was very generic and mostly repeated on what was asked in the face to face interview. They can actually skip this. Then the HR interview was in person and it was very cordial and the HR explained the past of ellucian/sungard current and also gave some information on the future of the company He also explained and work culture and also his experience of working in higher education and the company. All the information was useful and was helped me in making the decision to join.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ellucian (Reston, VA)
Interview
Prompt and efficient. No wasted time. Answered all my questions. Treated me with respect. Best interview process I have experienced. I met with different levels of people (i.e. team members and manager level) during separate interviews so each could be focused on the proper content.

I applied for UI Developer profile and got a call for a f2f interview. They were hiring for java and ui developer. First round was a written technical round common for both java and UI. It consisted of all aptitude and JAVA spring hibernate questions. Out of 30 questions only two questions were UI related , on jquery. After years of experience in complete ui development and javascript , how can they expect ui people to answer questions on hibernate, hashedmap and tree map. Most pathetic selection procedure I ever saw. Time waste.
