The hiring process at Expedia Group takes an average of 30 days when considering 3 user submitted interviews across all job titles. Candidates applying for Lodging Partner Associate III had the quickest hiring process (on average 30 days), whereas Lodging Partner Associate III roles had the slowest hiring process (on average 30 days).
Initial call was informal discussion with recruiter. Scheduled time to speak with hiring manager thereafter. Pretty smooth and lax interview process. Eventually, didn’t hear back for some time and was ultimately informed they moved forward with another candidate. Overall, seems like there is a push to have individuals located in Seattle where they are headquartered for hybrid work.

Question 1
How would you go about managing your workload and scheduling?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Expedia Group in Oct 2024
Interview
I went through a four-round interview process, only to receive no communication on the outcome even 20 days after the final round. The process started with a Hiring Manager screen, followed by interviews with various senior team members, each round focusing on a different area: Technology Acumen, Execution, Competency Screening, and Engineering Collaboration.
The entire process stretched over 1.5 months due to scheduling challenges with the international team, who had limited availability in common time slots. I dedicated significant time to preparing for each round, as Expedia was my dream organization. However, they didn’t even have the courtesy to inform me of the final decision. I later learned that the business team decided to close the position without hiring anyone. This decision came after I invested 50+ hours preparing and spent over four hours in interviews.
The only positive was the transparency about expectations, although, during the interviews, some of the interviewers’ expectations didn’t align with what had been shared in the initial email. So, it’s wise to be prepared for potential discrepancies.
