I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Expedia Group
Interview
Expedia came to our school's career fair, the engineer asked me two basic questions about java, then arranged me for another on campus interview.
The on campus interview last 30 minutes, first talk about what team am I interested in, then a technical question to write on board. Very simple programming question, given an int array, remove the duplicates. The man I met is friendly.
I am waiting for the on site interview.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Expedia Group (Bellevue, WA) in Jan 2014
Interview
Internal referral, contacted by a recruiter almost immediately. First round phone interview with a developer (typing code into a google doc). Phone interviewer specifically asked me to code in C++, which was unusual since I indicated my preference was Java.
One week later was asked to fly out for an onsite interview (expenses paid). Four interviewers, 45 minutes each.

Question 1
Surprisingly got some pointer math and C++ syntax that I wasn't prepared for.
