After applying online, I had one initial phone screening followed by a thorough 20-minute phone interview. After passing the second phone interview, I was told to head down for the assessment day the following week. The first part of the assessment day consists of three tests. A Set Notation and Venn Diagram (Logic) Test (1hour), IT aptitude test(1hr) and a math test(15 mins).
Set Notation and Venn Diagram (Logic) Test (1hour) – This is a collection of interlinked circles, along with a set operation which will require you to understand and shade in the necessary area. I found it slightly tricky but manageable.
Aptitude Test (1hour) - This tests some computer science fundamentals and also tests logical thinking without being too technical in nature. However, I do feel some basic coding knowledge is needed to pass this test.
Maths Test (15mins) – The test is based on mental arithmetic, and no calculators were allowed.
All the tests were administered via an Ipad. Within 15 minutes of completion of the tests, the other candidates and I were informed of the results. Those who passed were then briefed by the HR before proceeding for 2 interviews. One with the account manager and another with the technical instructor. The whole process lasted from 9.30am to 1.45pm. I was given an offer the following day.
