I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at FedEx (Wichita Falls, TX) in Feb 2016
Interview
I was greeted kindly and was asked questions about if I could meet the physical requirements of the job, yes or no questions, and what can you bring to the company.
I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at FedEx (Troutdale, OR) in Apr 2015
Interview
I went to a sort observation and saw what I would be doing as a package handler. A few days later, I went into for a interview which took 10 minutes tops, the hiring manager read off a piece of paper questions like "are you in shape to lift 50 lbs or more" etc. and I would answer with a simple yes or a no. Literally the only "real" question they have for you is "do you have any questions for me?" and that's it. A few days later I was hired. Very easy and to the point.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at FedEx (Seattle, WA) in Dec 2015
Interview
Apply online, sign up for "30 minute" sort observation. Wait a few hours, get the application. Wait a few days, get an interview, and then hired. Usually they email you the application right as you leave the facility, or you might need to wait a few hours. Everything else is based on how skilled the HR Hiring Staff is at the location of employment.
