Interview
Seemed pretty quick at first. The recruiter was very enthusiastic about the position and providing information as well as giving insight. The interview seemed like it was on the right track until I was asked about higher education which was not a requirement.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments in Apr 2024
Interview
The interview process begins with a phone screen with a recruiter. The usual discussion of the role, how your resume fits that role, and other behavioral basics. I wouldn't know what happens after this step, because I have been ghosted by every recruiter associated with Fidelity. While folks working there have (until recently) had great things to say, the company's recruiting and outreach leave much to be desired. Choosing not to move a candidate forward is part of the job, but ghosting candidates is a poor job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself, walk me through your resume, what's your experience with (language/framework/task listed on job posting).
The interview went smoothly. My interviewer greeted me and took my resume and my first question was about DSA. Rather than the usual question pattern focusing on Coding questions , my question was about how DSA is helpful in one's daily life and why I liked DSA( I mentioned this in my resume, hence we thorough with each and every details of your resume, as they are looked in and out by the interviewer). Once I answered this question , My second question was about DBMS. I was given a basic table containing 5 fields , and queries regarding group by clause was asked. Finally my last question was comparison between MongoDB and RDBMS.
