I had a disappointing experience throughout the interview process with Globant. While I understand that unexpected business needs can arise, the overall handling of the interview process felt disorganized and unprofessional.
The process began with long gaps between interviews, during which there was no communication from the company for several days at a time. After one such gap, I was asked to attend an in-person interview with just two days' notice, which was extremely challenging to accommodate, especially while managing a full-time job.
When the interview eventually took place, one of the three scheduled interviewers did not attend, and no explanation was provided. I understand that urgent business matters can come up, but this felt like a significant oversight. We agreed to reschedule and penciled in a new date three weeks later, but no official calendar invite was sent. Despite following up a week before the proposed date, I received no response until the actual day of the interview, when I was suddenly asked to come in. Given the lack of notice, I couldn’t attend that day, and we had to reschedule again.
When we finally met in person, the interview itself was a positive experience and I left feeling excited about the role and the potential opportunity within the company. However, when I inquired about the next steps, I was told that HR would be in touch. Unfortunately, I never heard back from HR. Three weeks later, I noticed the job was re-advertised, and when I reached out to inquire if my application was still under consideration, I received no response.
What made this experience particularly disappointing was how enthusiastic I was about both the role and the company. The positive rapport I felt with the people I met during the interviews made the lack of communication and feedback all the more disheartening. While I understand that internal misalignment and busy schedules can cause delays, the way the process unfolded left me feeling undervalued as a candidate. Preparing for an interview requires significant time and effort—both in terms of creating materials and managing the emotional investment in the opportunity. To have the process fizzle out with no closure or response was extremely disappointing.
