I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (New York, NY) in Mar 2021
Interview
There was a coding test at first, not too difficult. There was then a Hirevue video interview. 5 questions, all extremely unique so don't stress too hard about them. Finally, two interviews within 15 minutes of each other with engineers. Very friendly people. Behavioral/coding.
CV screening, hackerrank challenge about probability and statistics and programming , video interview with culture-fit questions, technical on-site 2 hours interview with a lot of questions related to Math and stats and some questions related to programming skills.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (Londres, Inglaterra) in Jan 2020
Interview
the whole process took more than 3 months, which contains one online coding test, plus hirevue, and assessment center. For the assessment centre, it is 1:1 interview. Even though it is a software engineering position, it still requires some basic knowledge about finance. I feel think the interviewer do not seek for a candidate with a high level coding skill. They actually prefer someone has a finance background with a qualified coding skill.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
online coding test is quite simple, just some simple level coding tests on leetcode. For the assessment center. it contains more motivation questions, like why GS? and also some questions about finance, like call and put options
