I applied online. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (Bengaluru) in Nov 2017
Interview
I had first round of hacker-rank test on 29th October. I got to know whether I've cleared the test or not almost after 2 weeks.
Secondly there was coderpad round. That also went well.
For third and further round of discussion they called for F2F interview. Firstly it was scheduled for Friday and then it got delayed for 2 days. It happened again next week Tuesday. There was 1 round of interview which lasted for almost 2 hours. 2 interviewers were taking interview. Normal core java concepts and a few logical puzzles. Later on they asked me to wait for next round of interview as interview panel was busy. I waited for couple of minutes. Again they said panel is busy just wait for a while. Almost after 20 mins they said that panel is not available today. Your HR will connect with you and provide you information on next round of interview and date.
Next day got call from HR she also conveyed the same thing that she will let me know the date for next round of interview. But after a while I got the mail that your candidature is not suitable for the position you have applied for.
Firstly they asked me to wait, nextly HR said the same thing and then I got the regret mail. Don't know what went wrong or it's GS way making a person wait and then say no.

Interview
I interviewed for LCA team for Software Developer. I would say the people who interviewed me were not even trying to understand my solution. Even when I told them that there are more than one efficient solution to that problem, they would not agree with what I was telling them. One of them was particularly so arrogant.
All of them relied on bookish knowledge of thing rather than asking CS fundamentals which I think should be what an interviewee should be tested upon. You can teach him the technology but not CS fundamentals. Worst experience for me so far!
Only phone round contained algo and coding questions.
