I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs
Interview
The interview starts with 2 coder pad sessions, questions are straight forward. Interviewers are nice.
Then followed by 2 face-to-face. No behavioral questions, purely on data structure and paper work programming, very tough questions. Even interviewers takes long time to realize your solution is working.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs in Sep 2017
Interview
Positive experience with general behavior questions. Asked about general machine learning background and what related project I have done. What machine learning algorithm I have learned and which one is my favorite.
I applied online. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (New York, NY) in Aug 2017
Interview
Interview process comprised of online phone interview, then followed with coding interview, then onsite.
Interviewers were very nice. They genuinely show interest in you as a candidate. The questions I was asked was based on my resume projects and algo questions. I made some really stupid rookie mistakes and did not get through. I guess my extreme nervousness got the better out of me.
Only thing I did not like was the recruiters. I had multiple reach out to me and they were all confused and their career application system has multiple issues. They took 3 weeks to figure out the issue before setting up the interview and did not seem well coordinated.
