I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (Salt Lake City, UT) in Jul 2024
Interview
In my recent interview, the session was conducted on CoderPad. The first 10-15 minutes were focused on behavioral questions, where the interviewer asked about my background, experience, and problem-solving approach. The remaining 45 minutes were dedicated to a coding challenge, where I was given a problem to solve in real-time. The interviewer observed my thought process, coding skills, and how efficiently I could arrive at a solution while handling edge cases. The overall experience was balanced, with a mix of technical and soft skills being evaluated.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
It was a coderpad round where i got asked two questions
1. The first one was to find out the max average score of a student when different students with different scores from different subjects are given.
2. The second one was to return true/false if a bishop on a chess board can reach a particular destination.
First round was Coderpad round with two basic array and string manipulation questions. I proceeded to superday where I had two rounds. The name of the round was data structure but I was asked low level system design which I was not expecting. The next round was Software Engineering Practices Round where the interviewer asked about SDLC, CI/CD etc. HR ghosted me for two weeks only to hear back the role has been filled without any feedback.
