I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Grant Thornton in Feb 2020
Interview
Applied through college job board. Recruiter asked to schedule a 30 min virtual interview. It was a phone interview. The recruiter calculated the time difference in time zones incorrectly so the interview was 2 hours later than agreed upon. The interviewer was a senior manager. They started with general personal questions and quickly moved to technical questions. After 10 minutes, I was interrupted and was given advice on how to have “conversations in general”. It did not feel like an interview at this point. The questions stopped. I had no time to talk. They spent 20 minutes giving me advice for future interviews. I felt patronized at the end.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Grant Thornton (Londres, Inglaterra) in Feb 2020
Interview
online application, numerical test and face to face interview. the online application asked for basic details such as resume and cover letter. the test was like a situational judgement test which involved analysing data and etc. the interview had 20 questions which were ok
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Grant Thornton (Bloomington, IN) in Feb 2020
Interview
Phone screen and then two back to back interviews. The interviews were casual for the most part, and really got me excited about what risk advisory was. Getting to interview and spend time with a partner and senior manager in the practice showed a lot about how intentional they are with their recruiting.
