Traditional; however, the person interviewing me was not very warm or friendly. He seemed put off, bored, like he was waiting for the experience to be over. I was over qualified for the position and slightly more qualified than the person interviewing me. I had the impression, at one point, that he felt threatened.
The executive assistant - not the interviewer - was in touch to let me know they wouldn't be making an offer. Again, an impersonal experience. I requested feedback on my interview: "what can I do differently in the future to make me a stronger candidate...do you have any feedback you can share?" This is a common follow up question and I include it in all of my Thank You emails. The interviewer asked the executive assistant to share with me that I was "unprofessional." To say that I was surprised to hear that is a profound understatement. I was the picture of professionalism as I always am, both in the workplace and out.
I would warn females interviewing here to be wary of a potential culture of toxic masculinity.
