Planning for the interview started with a recruiter contact me through linked in.
The interview was setup with their director of PM - who is based in US, but deputed from China
Timing was flexible, but it got postponed due to mutual unavailability
The interview itself was less than co-ordial
The role sounded secondary to R&D based in China. Travel to China was reqd, but thats not a big surprise
Surprising that customers are in the US, but still decision making seemed to be based in mainland

Interview
Stimolante, con interessanti domande di carattere tecnico. Persone cortesi e accomodanti, pronte a metterti a tuo agio. Processo rapito e veloce. Il colloquio dura circa 60 minuti. Uffici super moderni.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Huawei Technologies (Zambia) in Aug 2025
Interview
Too long and very stressful . No transparency. May as well ghost you for a while before response. During interviews, it is relaxed. Minimum of 3 interviews before onboarding. Onboarding is long process too
The first question they asked was, "Tell us about yourself." It felt like a generic opener, but it was vague and didn’t provide much direction. I ended up giving a brief overview of my background, but it felt disconnected.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me about my "greatest weakness," but it felt more like a filler question. It didn’t really seem relevant to the role or give any insight into my skills.
